Qualifications:
• A Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent.
• Full-cycle project experience, from outlines of algorithms to shipping code.
• Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• 100% at ease working in a Microsoft Visual Studio environment.
• 100% at ease working in C# and .NET classes and libraries (good programming skills in C++ is a plus) and/or external class/libraries.
• Good communications skills, working in distributed teams, making presentations, producing clear documentation, and the general maturity required to deal reasonably with a wide community of users and developers.
Duties:
• Development and implementation of company policies for appropriate project collaboration (including, for example version control) and general programming support within the company.
• Maintenance and development of graphical tools to facilitate real-time user interaction between local databases, local programs, and remote web sites via an API.
• Maintenance and development of MS-SQL database including user and server administration as well as integration and/or communication with client databases.
• Development of DirectX application for multimedia presentation and synchronisation in a multi-threaded environment.
• Deployment and manipulation of TCPIP communication for process control and real-time report generation.

Qualifications:
• Prioritizes multiple tasks effectively. A Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent.
• 5 years experience developing Web sites for business purposes. Thorough understanding of the web and web browsers, their capabilities and their limitations.
• Thorough knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript (both in general and with libraries such as prototype, scriptaculous and jQuery), PERL/CGI, XML/XSLT and Java Server Pages.
• Experience in Unix command line required. Strong skills required in critical thinking and analysis.
• Development experience with SQL, content automation and source control a plus.
• Flash/Actionscript experience strongly preferred. Experience working in high-profile, high-volume web publishing environments is a strong plus.

Duties:
• Works as project team member to develop or update web applications.
• Consistently meet or exceed project deadlines.
• Follows tasks through a development life cycle (coding, testing, debugging, documenting, peer-reviewing, deploying, monitoring, and support) in accordance with industry best practices and specific internal procedures and standards.
• Contributes to task identification, work effort estimates, and work schedules for development and maintenance activities.
• Participates in the analysis, definition, and scoping of efficient, cost effective application solutions.
• Works with internal departments to provide associated deliverables required for the successful completion of development and maintenance assignments (e.g. business development, database development, web designers, end-user training).
• Research new technologies; provide ideas for technical or workflow / process improvements.
• Performs related duties as assigned or requested.
